We're going to Folly Beach, SC to stay at Chuck's mom's beach house for a week (I love my MIL, so no issues there!). On the way, we're visiting the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville (and whatever else I might find to do in the Huntsville area ;-)), and the next day stopping to see some friends in Atlanta. While we're in Folly Beach, MIL is going to watch G for a couple of days while Chuck and I sneak away to Aiken, SC for some alone time.
Then, we're going up to Washington, D.C. for a few days. Back home through Lexington, KY (where Chuck grew up) to see his bestie and SIL (and G's only cousin). Then back home on or around the 20th. Whew!
We are road trip people, and Gram has been doing these marathons since he was three. He seems to love it, and in many thousands of miles, has yet to utter the phrase, "Are we there yet?".
There will be regular updates on fb, and I'll try to post stuff here, too.

That sounds amazing! We were a road trip family as kids. Looking back I LOVED it lol except that grand canyon was so hot and the eight mile walking tour through historic Charleston could both kiss my ass. Lol I don't remember being a fan. Sadly I'd love to do both again as an adult

My hatred of people's attitudes towards recent tragedies today .... Can't be overcome with words anymore. I need to walk away.
I lost a good little potential dare I say friend today. She's a Leo wife. And was angry beyond words that I used the hash tag black lives matter above the hash tag blue lives matter and refuse to use the hashtag all lives matter because it takes away from the causes and their indivuality IMO. She called me. On the phone.. Instead of "going off on you on Facebook " which... While I appreciate the fact she actually had the balls to pick up the phone.... Result was the same.
I listened to her use phrases such as "that probably sounds racist " ( no. It is racist. It sounds honest. But it's racist.)
And "if they would just obey the law, this wouldn't happen!! "
(I point out the Minnesota man was licensed to Carry)
"He should have never went for his gun and told them! "
"He did. "
"Videos are subjective.... They don't show everything "
And I gave up. On her. On humanity. And our country.
She's an educated registered nurse practitioner. And officially one of the stupidest most ignorant racist people I've ever conversed with.
And I'm. Sad. Because..... Literally 2/3 of the people I know either think all white people need to die or all black people need to die.
And that just.... Hurts.
