Oh I'm not mad about our finances. The point is shit was bad for so long I'm constantly on the defensive and if we end up in an argument over money it's because I immediately fly off the handle and create a fight where there isn't one. :/

Oh! Well then stop being a shit, eh. ;-) I'm trying ROFL it's hard. He did the books today. And I DID go over my allotted "nonsense" budget.... and there was literally no reason for it other than... I went to the vinyl store and lost my mind. Mistakes were made Lol he didn't say anything crazy or ugly.... he was actually pretty calm. He asked "can you please just tell me when you think you've blown the extras budget? If I don't know and stop for something at the corner store it could cause a problem" ....I started to get defensive.... had to take some breaths. Because he wasn't being unreasonable. We need to communicate better about our money. Smh.

Have you ever tried one of the budget apps on your phone? I use one call good budget, but there's literally hundreds of different ones depending on the style you prefer. I like good budget because it works like the cash envelope system, but we put all our purchases on cards for the rewards, so I can't do a cash system.
I take my monthly budget, give it my weekly, monthly and yearly expenses, and it tells me how much of my monthly funds I need to put aside (or just not spend in my case) in order to have the funds available for my larger expenses.
Then because my phone is always with me, it's really easy to just tap the widget every time I make a purchase to keep track of my spending. If I go on the computer I get pie charts and graphs showing me where my money goes, and when and to which categories.
I find it really really useful.

I'll look into it. Our extras budget is frankly the only place I get into trouble Lol I am on point with my grocery budget and anything household. L handles bills and extended savings.

I use it mostly for a visual of where my money goes, especially things like all my small online purchases that add up to fast and then for sports and Christmas, once a year, large expenditures. If I know how much I have to spend a month, and I know approximately how much my large expenditures will be, then the app tells me how much less a month I need to spend too have enough saved up for them

I'm trying to save my craft earnings (minus expenses. I'm paying myself back for materials and putting that in our savings jar) and buy myself a new laptop and some editing software. Our laptop isn't up to date enough to run the newest version of my silhouette software. Or adobe. Or anything.

Dying with dignity. Why is this not allowed? It should be.

Because ignorant people can't separate that from suicide. ;-)

Dying with dignity. Why is this not allowed? It should be. I've never understood why this isn't a basic right. As far as sovereign rights go, the authority to end my life in a way that allows me some grace should be at the top. How can someone force you to suffer months of pain and indignity? It's none of their damn business how I live, or how I die.

He's ready to go but now (I feel) he's suffering and it's forcing his family to suffer as well. It's bullshit.

I know you do. I thought of you when we were visiting him in hospice a couple weekends ago.

We're slowly rolling out dying with dignity legislation. Quebec had their first legal doctor assisted death a little while ago.
