So, as y'all know this is a big deal down here. I'm doing small items for the big girls teachers. But I'm planning on going pretty over the top for P's. Why? Because...she's the last one. we will hopefully have moved by the time R is old enough for me to consider an MDO program. All of my girl's went there. :/ they've taken care of my kids. Gave me a job when no one else would. Scholarships for my kids so I could afford childcare. The director and her teacher are getting gift baskets. I'm including personalized hand sanitizer, and clipboards. I'm also thinking of buying them each a personal cross to hang on a wall. But what are some other things I can put in there? I know her teacher loves coffee so I can get her a nice mug and etch it or add vinyl and get some good coffee to put in it. But the director isn't s coffee drinker. Thoughts?

My teacher husband says please no more mugs. It's the go-to gift for every teacher. 30 is plenty, thanks. Maybe a personalized water bottle/tumbler type thing?
Small potted plant? I did that one year, and let the kids paint the flower pot. Teacher loved it. Gift cards/certificates for restaurants or movie theaters. Supplies for the classroom (including books). Candy they can use to reward their kids - make sure it's peanut-free.
I always make a pair of earrings for them. If G ever has a male teacher, I'm screwed.
Whatever you do will be great. There's no question about that.

I second no more mugs but a personalized water bottle like you just made would be great I think! I also like the plant idea. For the non coffee drinker maybe some tea?

I have always just given my kids teachers a nice bottle of wine and a hand written note for an end of year gift

Yea. That would be a typical go to . But these two need to be special. They've basically raised my three oldest girls and this is the last teacher gift. :/

What about a great tote bag? Everybody loves a nice, sturdy bag to haul stuff around in; teachers especially. There are lots of options, lots of price ranges, and you could still personalize them.

Hubs came up with a great idea for the director. A framed plaque like picture of the girl's holding a sign that says "we heart you mammy" (what they call her) with their dates of attendance on a plaque below. now ....the teacher gift I think the personalized tote full of goodies and nice supplies like good pens and stuff they typically come out of pocket for.
