Ender's Game

I'm currently on book 3 out of 4 of the Ender series by Orsen Scott Card. It's an older series and I started it expecting old school mindless sci-fi, but I've so far been really impressed by the societal commentary and self reflection in his books. It reminds me slightly of Heinlein, with perhaps less humour, but in the way he makes you think about your world view whether or not you agree with his. He definitely encourages self reflection within an entertaining story, which is one of my criteria for a successful book. I'd give it a 4 out of 5 so far.
