Last week was soooo lovely. Because they wanted their stuff back so they were kissing my ass and behaving.
They got ungrounded Friday..for less than four hours. Because they will.not. quit.fighting.
I started adding a day for every ridiculous argument I had to break.up..
We are now at 2-15-16..
At this rate I've told them they have the option to REMOVE DAYS if I catch them being kind, or playing sweetly, or doing something nice or helpful without being asked.
It's not working except to say they are going out of their way to avoid one another.
To quote lala "I'd rather just not play at all then play with G."
To quote G "who wants to be bossed to death anyway. When I punch her in the mouth she at least shuts up"
To quote P: "Can Lenny and I take.another nap and watch my avengers Legos in your room? I don't wanna be around them anymore today"
It's..... frustrating. They are away from each other five days a week for school. Their time together is actually quite limited. I've done everything in my power to give them an organized place to live and play.
They still hate each other.
Why do I even try?
(Ftr. It's even worse when B is home. He and G basically hate each other. It's one lengthy screaming match that ends with him hitting.her and his daddy coming down on him like the wrath of God .....daily. to the point he's not actually allowed to babysit longer than an hour unless it's after bedtime because we are worried his meds will wear off and he will snap and hurt her.)
I don't know what to DO

Honestly, that sounds like my sisters and me growing up. We NEVER got along. Being alone, or with friends that we weren't tied to by blood helped us get along for brief periods of time. If we were together too long, it usually ended in fist fighting.
They need to learn how to play together respectfully, for everyone's sake. Have you tried doing a family game night/craft project/puzzle time? Something you all do together, where they're interested and encouraged to play/work cooperatively. Maybe if you do something along those lines just once a week, and then let them go off alone and do their thing otherwise, it will help.
(FTR, my mom never tried to make us get along, and we don't speak to each other for years at a time. You're ahead of the game for at least trying, kiddo.)

My sister and I don't talk at all unless forced by our mother and a holiday to be in a room together. Happens maybe once a year. don't want that for them.
