J has come down with something, he feels awful and of course it looks like he's dying. This morning, Ryan offered to stay home from school so he could take care of him. I know part of it is he would have been happy to stay home from school but he refused to come home with me last night because he wanted to stay home to take care of daddy. Too sweet.

He is. He's so empathetic. It's too cute.
Of course I went over there tonight and brought him leftover spaghetti and meatballs and cleaned the bathtub so he could take a bath, a sprite and some mineral water, and a warm down blanket so hopefully he can sweat the fever out tonight. Ry is here with me (he chooses to stay with his dad most of the time, I've come to accept it) so hopefully J will feel better by morning.
This is hard. I feel like I should be there to take care of him.

That's what my mom would say, lol. He sent me a pic, he's curled up on the couch with his dog (I got one, he got one) and the blanket I brought him. I swear...

There is no circumstance under which I would choose to be around a sick man. If he's dying, maybe. Remember in Jr. High, when they gathered the girls, took us to another room, and talked about our periods? They don't tell you that the boys have a class, too.
Becoming a man: sickness and hyperbole. They teach them the "exaggerated cough", "Feigning overexertion: how much is too much?" "Short term martyrdom: No..I can do...ugh.", "Timing is everything. Getting her to take out the garbage." "Moaning - it's not just for sex!" and "Speaking through symptoms, learn to insert dialog in between coughs, moans, or shallow breathing".
Sympathy? Headache, fatigue, and sour stomach? I have that shit every day. Shut the hell up. Pussies.

What's funny is a few weeks back I was sick, I felt awful, and I was here by myself, but of course he had work that required me to take Ry off his hands--even though I was sick. Of course I was fine with it all, he was all like 'I'm so sorry, I feel so bad, blah'. He hasn't asked me for anything, I'm just doing, because that's what I do, but I get it, taking care of a kid when you feel like ass sucks. So since I'm available to help, that's what I'm doing.

L made me "take it easy" yesterday and then looked at the house today like....
Whoa lady.
I'm genuinely looking forward to the two- three weeks I'll be off my feet. If for no other reason than week two is spring break.
He gets four bored kids to entertain and a house to maintain.
Whereas I was stressed I think it may be hilarious.

So, any bets on L "outsourcing" all that work? That's one nice thing about B, dude is a motherfucking tank. Unless he's actually sick-off-his-ass sick, he still functions. Of course then when I want to rest when I'm sick, I just can't because I feel like an asshole.

Hahaha L is a workhorse for WORK. In nine years I've known him to call in sick three times. And two of those I MADE him.
He's domestically useless. Parentally he will be fine if he keeps them at the local week long festival all week. But that defeats the purpose of him being home to help me with Rocky too. So we will see how it goes. Hahaha
