Posted on FB (copied and pasted to be accurate):
"One of my favorite and most respected teacher's Lib Ervin died on Monday here in Darlington. Among the things learned from Mrs. Ervin were critical thinking, a love of literature, an appreciation for ideas, learning to express your ideas in writing. I have probably thought of her more over my life than most of my teachers. I with some frequency have folks say I express myself reasonably well in writing and I think of her, thank her for it, and most times acknowledge her as the reason for it. Having her for 3 years in HS made college English pretty easy. She was both an excellent teacher and one in whose classes you enjoyed. I remember once coming back from Clemson and telling her I'd switched from Architecture to Ag Engineering and she said with a twinkle in her eye--"well, Willie is an Ag Engineer and he's done pretty well!" Was great reassurance for me. Willie did pretty well marrying Ms Ervin as well and they raised two fine boys in Bill and Joe."
Barely in the grave and already rolling over.

The run on sentences... Incorrect punctuation... I'm crying a little.

It was the "one of my favorite teacher's" that got me.
And that she was his English teacher.
