I have a listing on eBay. It's list price is high, but easily competitive with similar lots in the category.
Three messages over the past few days saying, basically, "I'm very interested in your lot. Would you lower your price so I can afford it?" Sure! That's the complete opposite of how an auction works, but of course! How about you make an offer, and I'll counter your offer with an even lower offer! How does zero dollars sound? Does zero work for you?
It doesn't help that they have screen names that are basically synonyms for "young, ditzy ignoramus". Tiffipinkelephant, babysparkle, realblonde21noideahowstuffworks.
