GirlKid decided to pick a huge patch of paint off of a corner of the wall next to her desk. I'm so pissed off at her right now. It was such a bitch to paint that room. We, of course, don't have any leftover paint for touch ups. That would be silly. I cannot figure out what to do with the kid. Taking things away from her -- even permanently -- has zero impact. Loss of TV and computer privilege has zero impact. She likes doing chores. I'm too tired and mad to think of anything else. I need help.

I would make her pay for a can of paint from her own money, do all the pain in the ass prep work herself for touching it up and then fix the wall. All the while sadly lecturing her on privilege and responsibility, respect for property, value of time and money, and how disappointed you feel that she chose to disrespect you that way.
She's the same age as Sarah right? Sarah's biggest motivators right now are money and making me shut up, so when she does wrong, she pays for it and I lecture non - stop

C doesn't really care so much about money, but I like the idea that she fix it. I'll have to see what she has in her piggy bank. We needed to get some touch up paint anyway. :/

And, yes, she's the same age as Sarah. My kids are the same age, within about a week or so, as your older two. That's why B got cut off when you got pregnant with P. Hell no!

Haha, Colin got snipped when a friend of mine with 3 kids the same ages as mine got surprised knocked up with twins.
Fuck. That. Shit!

If she doesn't have it in her Piggy bank I'd make her work to earn it. Preferably out of the house if you have any neighbours with crappy chores they're willing to pay for.
Sarah has gotten jobs cleaning up dog crap, helping dig a garden and as a mothers helper (babysitting while the mom is home)
I'm a huge proponent of showing them how much hard work goes into every breath of climate controlled air they breathe and refrigeratedly stored/oven baked bite of food they eat.

I'll figure it out. It would be easier if our kids gave a crap about their stuff. They just don't. :/
